A multi-faceted communications professional, Theresa Caldwell is committed to sharing information that supports individual and community wellness, and working with anyone who wants to share their vision more effectively.

Theresa is Chair of the Petersburg Wellness Consortium (PWC) in Petersburg, Virginia, comprised of diverse organizations working together to improve health and wellness. She leads workshops on the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on health under the auspices of the Petersburg Health Department/Crater Health District (Virginia Department of Health), and with Integration Solutions. She is a Certified Trauma Professional (International Assoc. of Trauma Professionals), a Certified Listening Professional (International Listening Association), and has completed The Theatre Lab School of the Dramatic Arts’ Life Stories Institute. Life Stories is a therapeutic arts program in which people learn to create original dramatic works from real-life experiences.

As one of the Richmond region’s Fitness Warriors, an initiative of Richmond-based Sports Backers designed to improve health outcomes in communities with the highest rates of chronic disease, Theresa teaches free fitness classes. She is also an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Group Fitness Instructor, as well as a consultant working whose clients include Caldwell Pediatrics and Wellness Center, the Washington, DC-based H.O.P.E. Project IT Help Desk Training program, and Leumas Security Services.

Theresa’s communications experience includes almost 20 years producing and hosting relationship/self-help programming on Washington, D.C.’s WHUR-FM and H.U.R. Voices-SiriusXM Channel 141. She has been an award-winning member of Toastmasters International. As a public speaker, moderator and trainer, she has led effective communication workshops for organizations such as the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference, U.S. Army MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation), the Northern Virginia Urban League Young Professionals Network, the Virginia Leadership Institute, and the Women’s Business Center of Northern Virginia.

Her public service experience includes working with a former Member of Congress for more than a decade, serving in various capacities including chief of staff. She also managed a successful campaign for a Chicago City Council seat, directed the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission’s national town hall program, and served as press secretary for the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr.
